One of the primary goals of the New Brunswick Registered Music Teachers' Association (NBRMTA) is to provide leadership in music education and to promote and support high standards of education among our members. Professional learning is a long-term, self-directed, and evolutionary process.  By exploring instructional techniques, refining professional practices, and broadening ourselves, both as educators and as individuals, we as teachers continue to discover and expand the pathways to improve our professional practice.

One way that NBRMTA accomplishes this mandate is by supporting and providing further opportunities to our members in their professional learning.  Some of these opportunities are offered within New Brunswick and others are offered by CFMTA/FCAPM.

The Professional Development section of the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers' Association (CFMTA) website offers teaching resources for ourselves and our students, pedagogical articles and links, videos of world-renown artists, interviews by great pedagogues, video lectures exploring instructional techniques, discussion forums, and the list goes on. Whether a teacher beginning a professional career or a highly experienced teacher, we will each find something to aid us in our professional learning.
